Sonia Macias

Vice-President

Sonia Macias has been in Search and Recruitment in the Collection Industry for nearly a decade. Prior to this, she was successfully involved with the Banking and Call Center arenas. She was born in Mexico City, and is fully bi-lingual.

Sonia can fulfill any type of Collection Industry search, and has a specialized concentration in two areas:

  • Offshore and Nearshore - where she is well-versed in language barriers, cultural differences, compensation, tax and relocation nuances. Sonia has fulfilled searches in India, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Student Loan and Department of Education Collections. Sonia has vast expertise with Private Lending, Guaranteed and the Department of Education. She has assisted with 10 of the 17 large contract winners, and multiple sub-contracting agencies in their staffing needs.

Her career at SC Riverside was preceded by earning her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. While there, Sonia was awarded the prestigious Peter Kiewit Scholarship. While at SC Riverside, Sonia has earned the National Pacesetter Award for Performance multiple times.

She is a member of the Women's Network Group as well as Minority Collection Industry Professionals.

Sonia is married with one daughter, to whom she is fully devoted. She loves the beach as much as her mom and "they" enjoy travel and shopping. Sonia also enjoys giving back by supporting locally the Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude Hospital, St. Peter and Paul, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Toys for Tots, Kiva, among other charities.
