Missing in Action - Collections Credit Risk, July 2001
Excerpt
"Two years ago, kids right out of school, their motivation was a signing bonus and a BMW," says James V. Finocchiaro, president fo recruiting firm SC Riverside, Inc., of Omaha, Neb. "Now it's back to stability. Candidates want stability, opportunity, and growth. If the company is stable and the opportunity is there, and I do a superior job, can I grow there? That's what they want to know."
…"To hook them in, talk about that when you're in collections, you are righting a wrong, and a wronged party gets compensated. That is a plus for some people," says Finocchiaro. "Emphasize that you're helping the underdog, like helping single moms get child support. You can tap into a little bit of idealism."
